Welcome to theonearmedcrab.com, a site about traveling – not so much the beach holidays and city trips, but more traveling of the (semi-)adventurous sort, independently. Foremost  I want to share my experiences, and give you an impression of some of the places I have been to, through text and pictures, either to help you decide whether to go, to help you prepare  if you have already decided, or to provide you with an armchair travelers experience if you have no intention going anywhere soon.

If you are in a hurry, and you know the country you want to go, check out our locations, short sketches about some of the places we have been to. You’ll find them under the The Travels page, or under the individual country pages that you access through The Map.

For those with more time, and those who don’t want or cannot travel to the places we describe, I try to give you an idea of how it was, through some of my longer articles and travelogue blogs, again either under The Travels or under the individual country pages under The Map.

Lastly, I like to share the more mundane experiences, to do with eating or drinking, or art exhibitions, or anything else I think remotely fits the site. My blogging channel when I am  not traveling, see The Rest. And I keep on adding content, which you’ll find under What’s New?

Have a look, and keep coming back, because it will take a while before all of the content has been uploaded and placed in such a way that you can easily access it.

This site is still under construction…. not in the last place because I am learning hands-on!
