In Spring 1999, after a two weeks trip through Tibet, we ended up in the Nepali capital Kathmandu, for a couple of days. I have very few notes of this, and of our visit to Kathmandu’s neighbouring city across the murky Bagwati River, Patan, and it is quite some time ago. However, I do have some photos – scanned slides -, of which a sample is included below. Not the best quality photos, but as an impression of the atmosphere at the time, it will do.
