Lebanon, but could have been anywhere in the Middle East
The Middle East has been a region of great interest to us – and lots of others, of course – for a very long time. We have been to Egypt and Jordan as early as 1991/1992, even before we lived in SE Turkey for a while (which, by the way, has not been included under this heading, but has a seperate box). More recently we visited friends and family in Lebanon, Qatar and Oman, and we had one our most exciting travels, to Iran. The latest trip was a brief visit to Syria, land in the midst of conflict. An area to come back, still.
