Next to the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh is the Silver Pagoda. One of the striking features is a series of Buddhist murals, apparently painted by students at the beginning of the 20th Century – not very old, thus, but quite attractive in their own right. I am sure there are elaborate stories behind the images, my aim is just to share some of them as an artistic achievement.
