Our first trip was to Sicily, where we spent ten days in October 2015. Not enough to see it all, but still quite a lot of material, tracking Sicily’s history of sheer continuous colonisation from the Phoenicians, the Greeks and the Romans to the Middle Ages and beyond.
From August 2018 is a brief entry on Trento in Northern Italy, where we enjoyed a few days, just passing through.
And in October 2020 we went to parts of Northern Italy, from Verona, Padua and Venice, to Ravenna and San Marino, and to Florence in Tuscany. Once again, not enough to see everything, which leaves plenty of room to return at a later stage.
