Large town in the Mekong delta, centre of the floating markets.
This is the biggest town in the Mekong Delta, which shows in the quality and variety of hotels, restaurants, shops etc. That does not mean that there is much to do, apart from visiting floating markets, of which there are a couple in the neighbourhood – worthwhile visiting.
Size comes with development, and the waters around Can Tho are less picturesque than those of many other delta towns.
