After our West Africa expedition in Spring 2023 we spent a week in Gambia, or The Gambia, enjoying the relative quietness and the well developed tourist industry of this small country – which really is a travesty of colonialism, a narrow zone on both sides of the Gambia River which once was a British colony, entirely surrounded by then-French Senegal.
